Dr. R. Balasubramanian, DDGM, RMC Nagpur, and Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, Director, AMO &amp; Scientist-D, played a key role in organizing and delivering this training.The workshop witnessed participation from 22 airports and more than 100 meteorologists and scientists from across the country. Officers from RMC Kolkata, RMC Chennai, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) Nagpur, and ICAR Nagpur also attended, fostering inter-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing.<\/p>\n<p>Key Topics Covered in the Workshop:<\/p>\n<p>METAR, Trend &amp; Landing Forecast<\/p>\n<p>Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) &amp; Take-off Data<\/p>\n<p>Aerodrome Warnings &amp; Local Area Forecast (ARFOR)<\/p>\n<p>Observational Systems, Aviation Instruments &amp; Maintenance<\/p>\n<p>VVIP Flight Forecasting and Procedures<\/p>\n<p>Application of Satellite and Radar in Aviation Meteorology<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 Aircraft Accidents and Meteorological Procedures<\/p>\n<p>\u2714 Aviation Forecast Verification<\/p>\n<p>The training provided hands-on exposure to forecasting tools, case studies on aircraft accidents, and advanced insights into aviation meteorology. The interactive sessions and expertise of the speakers contributed to a highly informative and practical learning experience.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, acknowledging the contributions of experts and participants.
