Bhopal: With the aim of promoting the Hindi language globally and connecting the new generation to its cultural roots, the Vishwarang Foundation (India), Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, and Vanmali Srijan Peeth are jointly organizing the Vishwarang International Hindi Olympiad 2025. The Olympiad will be held from September 14 (Hindi Diwas) to September 30 (International Translation Day) across more than 50 countries, including India.<\/p>\n
A press conference regarding the event was held at Palash Residency, where detailed information was shared by Shri Santosh Choubey, Director of Vishwarang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University; Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Co-Director of Vishwarang and Pro Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University; senior educationist Dr. Amitabh Saxena; Dr. Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the Tagore International Hindi Centre; and Shri Vinay Upadhyay, Director of the Tagore International Literature and Arts Centre.<\/p>\n
The formal inauguration of the Vishwarang Hindi Olympiad will be conducted by the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav, on September 15, coinciding with the launch of the Olympiad\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, Shri Santosh Choubey emphasized that the Olympiad will bring together Hindi speakers, listeners, writers, and advocates from 65 countries. The competition will be held across six levels, ranging from Grade 1 to Postgraduate in India, and Level 1 to Level 6 internationally. In terms of scale and reach, this Olympiad is poised to be the largest cultural-academic campaign of its kind. Winners will receive attractive prizes, and every participant will be awarded a certificate.<\/p>\n
Vishwarang Sri Lanka Conference: September 29\u201330 in Colombo
\nAs part of its international chapter, Vishwarang Sri Lanka 2025 will be held in Colombo on September 29\u201330, 2025. The event is co-organized by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre and the High Commission of India, Colombo. It will feature participation from leading authors, professors, and students from India and South & Southeast Asian countries.<\/p>\n
The central theme of the conference is: \u201cCultural Harmony Across South and Southeast Asian Nations.\u201d<\/p>\n
The inaugural keynote address will be delivered by renowned thinker and diplomat Shri Pavan K. Varma. The program will include discussions on linguistic exchange, cultural unity, and a special poetry recital by distinguished poets.<\/p>\n
Vishwarang Book Yatra \u2013 A Movement to Bring Book Culture to the Masses
\nContinuing its tradition, Vishwarang will launch the Vishwarang Book Yatra starting October 2, in collaboration with universities and AISECT centers across four major Hindi-speaking states: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.<\/p>\n
The yatra will travel through 125 districts, 250 development blocks, and 700 village panchayats, featuring:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Book exhibitions<\/p>\n
\u2022 Special displays on freedom fighters and women revolutionaries<\/p>\n
\u2022 Science-themed exhibitions<\/p>\n
\u2022 Creative competitions such as poetry and story writing, debates, and short film production<\/p>\n
The mission is to foster a love for books and extend book culture to all sections of society \u2014 including children, youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and the third gender community.
