Indore, October 9, 2026: Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited (NSE: STARHEALTH; BSE: 543412), India\u2019s first standalone health insurance company, concluded its Health Insurance Awareness Roadshow across Madhya Pradesh, reaching approximately 5 lakh people across 45 towns and cities in the state. The roadshow aimed to build greater awareness among families about the role of health insurance in preparing for unexpected medical expenses and the healthcare support available to policyholders.<\/p>\n

As part of the roadshow, two specially designed awareness vans travelled across 45 towns and cities. Beginning September 1, 2026, one van covered towns including Khandwa, Burhanpur, Sendhwa, Harda, Dewas, Ujjain, Agar, Nagda, Dhar, Ratlam, Neemuch and Mandsaur, while the other covered Itarsi, Jhabua, Ashta, Sehore, Vidisha, Narmadapuram and Betul. Over 39 days, the vans travelled approximately 9,840 km, reaching around 5 lakh people across the state through on ground visibility and community interactions. The roadshow engaged families, senior citizens, students, self-employed professionals and local business owners.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Nitin Malik, Business Head, Madhya Pradesh, Star Health Insurance, said: \u201cHealth insurance can protect families from the financial impact of unexpected medical expenses, but that protection begins with awareness and understanding. Through our Health Insurance Awareness Roadshow across Madhya Pradesh, we took these conversations directly to communities across the state. By simplifying topics such as adequate coverage, cashless hospitalisation and financial preparedness, we aim to encourage more families to make informed decisions about their health and financial protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the roadshow, Star Health representatives interacted with communities on key aspects of health insurance, including the importance of buying coverage early, choosing an adequate sum insured, understanding cashless hospitalisation and planning for future healthcare expenses. The interactions were aimed at simplifying insurance-related information and helping families make informed choices.<\/p>\n

The roadshow also created awareness about Talk to Star, the company\u2019s guided assistance service for policyholders planning hospitalisation or Home Healthcare. The service helps customers understand policy coverage, identify network hospital options, navigate the cashless process and prepare the required documentation before admission or treatment at home. Eligible policyholders can call 7200 222 333 (8am to 8pm), pressing 1 for Home Healthcare or 2 for planned hospitalisation. Customers who are not policyholders can access free 24\/7 Virtual OPD consultations through the Star Health Customer app.<\/p>\n

Visitors were also informed about Star Health\u2019s Home Healthcare offering, through which eligible patients, where clinically appropriate, can receive medical care at home, supporting recovery and reducing the need for extended hospital stays.
