Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth,General officer Commanding- in-Chief, Southern Command visited Bhopal military station today

The highlight of the visit was the Army Commander's meeting with the Honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mangu bhai C. Patel

In a significant event underscoring the ongoing collaboration between the Indian army and the state of Madhya Pradesh, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth,General officer Commanding- in-Chief, Southern Command visited Bhopal military station today. The visit was marked by a series of high level meetings and interactions aimed at bolstering the operational readiness and civil-military relations in the region. During his visit, the Army commander reviewed the operational prepardness and infrastructural development at the Bhopal Military Station. The army commander emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of discipline, training and operational efficiency to meet any challenges that may arise. Following his father footsteps Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth had the privilege of Commanding Sudarshan Chakra Corps, a role once tenated by his father, Lt Gen Krishna Mohan Seth, PVSM, AVSM (Retd) from 1992 to 1994. He was also the Governor of Tripura, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh from the year 2003 to 2007. This extraordinary testament underscores the legacy and continuity of military service within the family.

The highlight of the visit was the Army Commander’s meeting with the Honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mangu bhai C. Patel.The meeting was held at Raj Bhavan where both leaders discussed various issues of mutual interest and collaborative efforts to enhance the security and development of the region. The Governor appreciated the Indian Army’s role in ensuring national security and its contributions to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. He expressed his gratitude for the Army’s support in various state-led initiatives and reiterated the states’s commitment to supporting the Welfare of serving and retired military personnel.
The Army Commander thanked the Governor for the warm hospitality and the ongoing support extended by the state government to the Indian Army. He reiterated the Army’s readiness to assist the Civil administration in maintaining peace and security in the state.
