The Maharashtra Sikh Association (MSA) welcomes the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)’s decision to delay the release of Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, which was originally scheduled for September 6th. This decision comes in response to the concerns raised by the Sikh community regarding certain objectionable content in the film.
*Our Collective Efforts Have Paid Off!*
The film Emergency has been put on hold by the Censor Board, as confirmed by media reports and Kangana Ranaut herself on her X account. While this is a positive step, we believe it is crucial to remain focused and vigilant. Our objective is to ensure that the film respects the sentiments and historical accuracy related to the Sikh community. We call upon the authorities to take the necessary steps to either delete the objectionable parts from the film or, if required, impose a complete ban on its release. The MSA will continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure that our concerns are addressed with the respect and seriousness they deserve. We urge the Sikh community and all supporters to remain united and committed to this cause until our goal is fully achieved.
