NIFT Bhopal Welcomes New Batch at Orientation 2026 July 29–31, 2026

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, proudly inaugurated its Orientation Programme 2026, welcoming 261 new students across diverse disciplines including Fashion Design (FD-44), Textile Design (TD-37), Knitwear Design (KD-34), Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory (F&LA-38), Fashion Communication (FC-42), Fashion Management Studies (FMS-31), and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFT-35).
Over the three days, the programme combined formal sessions, and interactive workshops to help students transition smoothly into campus life.
Key Highlights:
• Documents Verification, Hostel Allotment & Check-in
• Inaugural Programme (Venue: Multi-Purpose Hall: B-112) featuring Saraswati Vandana and Deep Prajwallan, followed by the welcome address by Link CC – Foundation Program (FP), the journey of the NIFT Bhopal Campus was highlighted by the CAC- Campus Academic Coordinator, Dr. Debojyoti Ganguly and Director, Akhil Sahai welcomed the NIFTIANS and advised them to fulfil the dreams of the parents by sincerity, punctuality and dedicated hard work.
• Student Guidance Sessions on hostel conduct rules, CMS registration, institute regulations, scholarships (SARTHAK & UDAAN), laptop policy, electives, and extracurricular opportunities.
• Awareness Workshops on anti-ragging laws, gender sensitization, plagiarism, social media policy, and counselling support.
• Academic Presentations including department-wise curriculum introductions (DS-Deepening Specialization, IDM-Inter Disciplinary Major), Craft Cluster, I&DL-International & Domestic Linkage, RC-Resource Centre, and Examination Policies (CGPA/SGPA, Attendance).
• Engagement Activities such as Ice-Breaking Sessions, Tree Plantation, Alumni Interactions, and Student Awards.
• Field Visit to Jagdishpur, Bhopal, fostering experiential learning is scheduled on the last day.
The Orientation Programme reflects NIFT Bhopal’s commitment to nurturing creativity, discipline, and holistic development, ensuring students are well-prepared for their academic journey and future careers in fashion and design. Administration, Admission, Academics, Accounts, Hostel, SDAC-Students Development Activity Coordinators and other Nodal Officers, faculties, staff and student volunteers made it a successful program.
