RIE Bhopal Organised VIGYAN SHAKTI 2026 on National Science Day
The Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhopal, organised VIGYAN SHAKTI 2026′, a two-day National Science Day celebration, on March 9-10, 2026 with the support of MPCST, Bhopal. The programme was based on the theme” Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat”, highlighting the importance of scientific temper, innovation, and inclusive participation in national development. The celebration featured several innovative and educational activities. On March 9, events included The Jargon-Slayer Caricature, The Lumerics Challenge, and The Double-Blind Ethics Courtroom (Debate). On March 10, students participated in The Myth-Buster Demo, Kaun Banega Vigyan Shakti?
(Quiz), followed by the Valedictory Session and Prize Distribution.
The inaugural session at the RIE Auditorium was graced by Dr. Rajesh Saxena, Scientific Advisor (MP & CG), Patanjali Research Foundation, and former Senior Principal Scientist, MPCST. The valedictory session featured Prof. Ajay Kumar Bhardwaj, Professor of Biotechnology, IEHE, Bhopal, as Guest of Honour.
A special highlight was the display of Science and Mathematics Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) by internship students, showcasing innovative classroom resources. In his presidential remarks, Prof. Shiv Kumar Gupta, Principal, RIE Bhopal, emphasised that National Science Day should serve as a platform for nurturing inquiry, creativity, innovation, and academic excellence among future teachers .
