The CPR Committee of AIIMS Bhopal successfully organised an American Heart Association (AHA)-certified Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training programme. The two-day programme was aimed at strengthening the emergency response and life-saving skills of healthcare professionals.
The training programme witnessed participation from 30 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nursing officers and ICU staff from AIIMS Bhopal and other institutions. All participants successfully completed the training and enhanced their practical knowledge of emergency cardiac care.
The programme was conducted by AHA-certified instructors, ensuring that participants received training in accordance with internationally accepted standards of emergency cardiovascular care. Hands-on sessions included Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation and advanced life support techniques using state-of-the-art mannequins and simulation equipment to prepare participants for real-life emergency situations.
The CPR Committee stated that such regular training programmes are essential for strengthening the emergency and life-saving competencies of healthcare professionals.
