NIFT Makes Fashion Education More Accessible with Reduced Fees and Extended Admission Dates

To encourage wider participation and enhance accessibility, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has announced a reduction in the application fee for Admissions 2026. The application fee for candidates belonging to the Open, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and Open-EWS categories has been reduced from ₹3,000 to ₹2,000, while for SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates it has been significantly lowered from ₹1,500 to ₹500.

NIFT has also revised the application schedule for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes for the academic year 2026. Applications can be submitted without a late fee up to 13 January 2026, while those applying between 14 January and 16 January 2026 will be required to pay a late fee of ₹5,000. A correction window will be available from 18 January to 19 January 2026, allowing applicants to make necessary changes to their application forms.
