Prompt and professional action by troops of the Shahbaaz Division on the Jodhpur–Jaisalmer Highway averted a potential tragedy when an overspeeding civil vehicle met with an accident on 22 November 2025 at 1415 hours, approximately 2 km short of Dechu.

The troops,from an exercise location, immediately responded to the emergency. With the assistance of a Recovery Vehicle and an LRV, they successfully recovered the toppled vehicle and rescued three seriously injured passengers, with support from local civilians present at the site.

Their swift intervention ensured timely evacuation of the injured, restored traffic movement, and upheld the highest standards of safety and service to the public.
No fatalities were reported.
