NIFT Bhopal’s ‘Spectrum 2026’ Celebrates Creativity and Spirit Amidst the Rain

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, kicked off its highly anticipated inter-college fest, Spectrum 2026, themed “Midnight Carnival,” on February 20 at 10:00 AM. The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by the Institute’s Director, Mr. Akhil Sahai, who encouraged students to push the boundaries of their creative potential. The campus buzzed with energy as 302 students participated in a diverse array of competitions, including dance, music, tattoo making, pottery, and a high-stakes treasure hunt. Adding to the festive atmosphere, students showcased their entrepreneurial and artistic skills across 48 creative stalls, featuring everything from culinary delights and carvings to handcrafted jewelry and doodle art. Seven sponsored stalls also added to the commercial vibrancy of the carnival. As evening approached, the focus shifted to the sports arena. The Sports Club ignited the crowd’s enthusiasm with a gripping volleyball match, followed by a display of speed and agility in the 100-meter sprint. The winners of these athletic and creative bouts are set to be honored with medals during tomorrow’s ceremony. Despite an unexpected morning downpour, the spirits of the attendees remained undampened. “The festival is spectacular! With so many events happening simultaneously, there’s never a dull moment. The rain started early, but it hasn’t stopped us from soaking in the fun,” remarked an enthusiastic visitor. The successful execution of the fest was led by the Student Development Activity Coordinators (SDAC), Ms. Baisakhi Dalapati (Assistant Professor) and Mr. Mohd. Rizwan Ahmad (Assistant Professor). However, the organizers noted that the seamless flow of the event was a true testament to the exceptional coordination between the faculty and the student body.
