Echoes Of Time : A Grand Homecoming at NIFT BHOPAL’S Third Alumni Meet
Organised with Grandeur at NIFT Bhopal, 27 March 2026: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, successfully hosted its third ‘Alumni Meet’ today at the campus.
The event aimed to reconnect former students with their alma mater and provide a platform to share their professional journeys with the current batches.
The program commenced at 11:00 AM with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, graced by Director Shri Akhil Sahai, (CAC) Campus Academic Coordinator Dr. Debjyoti Ganguly, Assistant professor and (RIC) Regional Industry Coordinator Ms. Namrata Singh, and Founder & Director of ABC Studio Mr. Abhijit Banik.
Addressing the gathering, Campus Director Shri Akhil Sahai expressed immense pride in the achievements of the alumni. He stated “My students are my brand. Wherever they go they will carry NIFT Bhopal’s name with them” and The Campus Academic Coordinator Dr. Debojyoti Ganguly Stated “A college reunion is more than an event , it is an emotional homecoming. A day that is not just about revisiting a campus, but about revisiting a chapter of life that shaped who you are today.”
A significant highlight of the event was the unveiling of NIFT Bhopal’s special coffee table book, titled ‘Abhivyakti’. Conceptualized by the 6th-semester students of the Fashion Communication department, the book serves as a visual tribute to the institute’s academic and cultural heritage.
This was followed by an insightful panel discussion on “Campus to Corporate & Entrepreneurship.” Assistant professor & Regional Industry Coordinator (RIC) Ms. Namrata Singh emphasized the evolving synergy between academia and the fashion industry.
Adding a strong technical dimension to the meet, Mr. Rahul Pandey, Brand Head at Wildcraft India Limited and a senior alumnus, conducted a Masterclass on “Designing for the Next Generation.” He shared deep insights into fashion retail, emerging technologies, and brand building, followed by an engaging ‘Rapid Fire’ session with the audience.
The event witnessed heartening interactions as the alumni revisited their college days. An alumnus, Assistant Professor Ms. Ruchika Raj Saxena stated “I feel great coming to Nift bhopal’s alumni meet, seeing old faculties and meeting new students It felt so nostalgic.”
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the ‘Distinguished Alumni Award 2026’ to Ms. Ishita Goel (Class of 2017, F&LA) for her exceptional contributions to the industry.
Cultural performances and poetry recitals by current students added a nostalgic charm to the afternoon. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks and a networking lunch. The Event was conducted under the leadership of Akhil Sahai, Director of NIFT Bhopal, (CAC) Campus Academic Coordinator Dr. Debojyoti Ganguly , Assistant professor and (RIC) Regional Industry Coordinator Ms. Namrata Singh , faculty members, and staff of NIFT Bhopal.
