Blood Donation Drive in Collaboration with Red Cross Society at National Law Institute University,Bhopal

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, August 15th, 2024, the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, successfully organized aBlood Donation Drive. The event, organized by the Sports Committee and spearheaded by Convener Mr. Rohit Tomar and Co-Convener Mr. Yashpal Jakhar, received an overwhelming response from students, faculty, and staff, resulting in the collection of 120 units of blood.More than 50 individuals, including students, faculty members, and administrative staff, participated in the drive. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) S. Surya Prakash, graced the event with his presence, offering his support and encouragement to all participants. The Registrar, Mr. Vivek Bakshi, and the Controller of Examinations, Lt. Col. Manish K. Bhauguna and Dr. Baljeet Singh, Assistent Director, Physical Education and Sports, also set an inspiring example by starting the blood donation drive, further motivating others to contribute to this noble cause.Prof. (Dr.) S. Surya Prakash expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the Red Cross Society and the NLIU community. “The success of this blood donation drive is a testament to the commitment of our students, faculty, and staff towards social responsibility. I am proud of the way our community has come together to support a noble cause that can save lives, especially on a day that symbolizes our nation’s unity and dedication to the greater good,” he remarked.

The drive, held on the university campus, was conducted with the highest standards of safety and care, overseen by dedicated volunteers from the Red Cross Society and the medical staff of the university. The collected blood units will be distributed to local hospitals and medical centers, aiding those in need.This initiative not only provided an opportunity for the NLIU community to contribute to society but also raised awareness about the importance of regular blood donation. NLIU Bhopal remains committed to organizing such initiatives in the future, fostering a culture of empathy, service, and social responsibility among its students and faculty.
